Annual income declaration

Each year, drivers must file a tax return on their earnings from the previous year.

Below you will find information to help you make the best possible declaration of your income :)

How do I file my tax return if I am an AE?

What we send to the tax authorities is the total gross of your credit card transactions + your cash transactions for the year 2020, all with our commission.

This is why the amount may seem high, but don't worry, there is no mistake.

This also applies to self-employed people. Basically, for this status, the Heetch commission is considered as an expense, just like your petrol costs or the insurance of your car for example.

Finally, for your tax return, you will have to declare all your gross income for the year 2020, which will be automatically reduced by 50% for the calculation of your income tax.

I invite you to have a look at the website of the Ministry of Taxes if you need, you will find additional information on this link.

How to declare if I am a manager/employee

If you are a manager:

When you carry out an activity through a SASU, a SAS or a SARL, the principle for your company is to be taxed under the corporate tax system. You will therefore have to file a corporate tax return to tax the profit of your company, and an income tax return to declare the amount of your remuneration received (as well as any dividends if you are also a partner in the company).

Heetch is also required to provide the tax authorities with the income received by each driver on the application. Your income tax return will therefore be compared with what Heetch has declared, and any discrepancies may be investigated.

If you are an employee:

We only declare companies, your manager takes care of everything for his company.

If necessary, you can find more information on this [article] (https://blog.heetch.com/articles/declaration-revenus-vtc).

Could you please send me back my tax report?

From now on, you can download all your invoices, commission invoices and tax summaries from your driver portal :)

Your driver portal can be accessed from the following link: driver.heetch.com.

I don't understand why I have to declare my income gross and not net as before?

Since last year, the tax authorities have imposed this new system. We understand that it makes no sense for you to declare your gross income with our commission, but we simply have no choice.

If you are an employee, the manager of the company you work for will do it on behalf of his or her company, so you don't have to do it.

If you are a company manager, you must declare all of your company's income in 2020 (trips made by all your employees in credit cards and cash), as this is what we will do for all our drivers.

If you are an auto-entrepreneur, you must declare all of your company's income in 2020 (journeys made by credit card and cash)

That's why you have to declare all of your income in 2020 (trips made by credit card and in cash), because that's what we're going to do for all our drivers, whatever their status.

Basically, for this particular status, Heetch's commission is considered as an expense, just like your petrol costs or your car insurance for example.

Your tax return is equivalent to declaring all your gross income. The total amount will be reduced automatically when calculating your tax by a flat rate of 50% on your turnover for the year 2020.

Don't hesitate to go and have a look at the website of the Ministry of Taxes here for Self-Entrepreneurs and here for companies, if you need additional information :)
