We never debit a ride when it has been cancelled, it is a bank authorization.
When you order a ride via the application, we do a bank authorization first and it is an automatic process. This means that we ask your bank to verify the validity and the supply of your bank account. This authorization is not a debit, but it may appear temporarily on your bank statement as a debit for the estimated amount of your ride (at the time of the order). This bank verification will appear as "HEETCH TEMPORARY" on your bank account.
If the final amount of the trip is less than or equal to the estimated amount: we will debit the initial authorization completely or partially. If the final amount of the trip is higher than the estimated amount: we create a debit on your card (for the final amount). The initial authorization is cancelled, however, some banks still display it for a few days and then delete it.
In case of a cancellation fee of 6 euros: we create a debit on your card (for the amount of the fee). The initial authorization is cancelled, however some banks still display it for a few days.
Banks may take a few hours to a few days before they display this authorization as cancelled or refunded. But be assured, we have not charged anything! Do not hesitate to contact your bank directly.
